Top Gear Power Laps: Interactive Chart Lists Them All
Whatever your opinion on the Jeremy Clarkson 'fracas', you cannot deny that over the years BBC's Top Gear has provided car enthusiasts with a great deal of knowledge and entertainment.
With 22 series spanning a total of 13 years (2002-15), the BBC Two fixture holds the record for the world's most widely-watched factual TV programme, with presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James "Captain Slow" May becoming three of the most recognised faces in the world.
With the announcement of Clarkson's forced departure from the show earlier this year (and the following stepping down of fellow presenters Hammond and May), Top Gear as we know it has come to an end.
The BBC are planning to release a revised version of the show, with a host of new presenters including BBC's Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans, to a mixed response. Only time will tell if the 'new' Top Gear will be as popular as the last run, especially as Clarkson, Hammond and May are releasing their own new TV show (coming to Netflix in 2016).
But before these changes come into effect, BestCarFinder has taken a moment to reflect on the 'good old times' of Top Gear. We've created an interactive chart of ALL the Power Laps cars (and times) driven by the fourth important member of Top Gear - The Stig.
In 22 series, The Stig drove a total of 225 'Power Lap' cars, clocking up over 5 hours of track time.
